The purpose of this organization is to promote and encourage the hobby of collecting, classifying and mounting buttons for pleasure and educational purposes. We share with the membership educational information regarding the art, beauty, craftsmanship and history of buttons.

Our organization co-operates with the National and Florida State Button Societies in furthering the development of the interest and knowledge of buttons.

We welcome new members. We enjoy sharing our group's knowledge with all of our members. Would you like to know what your grandmother's buttons are worth? Or, would you just like to learn how to start collecting buttons? Join us at one of our meetings. You just might get hooked on a satisfying and rewarding hobby. Think of how much fun it was going through your mother's or grandmother's old button box!

Most people think of buttons as being common shirt buttons. Buttons are much more than that! There are many different types of buttons. Some are even minature works of art. That is most evident in picture buttons. Antique buttons can be either common shirt buttons or collectible buttons. A good example of that is seen in pearl buttons. Pearl buttons range from common shirt buttons to fantastic carved pieces of art. Modern buttons are also very popular. New artists making studio buttons appear frequently. Buttons are in demand for collecting, scrabbooking, crafts, jewelry making and of course sewing.
